Finding God's Will !
Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Something to Think About: Joshua who lead the nation of Israel into the promised land, gave them a choice on what to do with their lives. No matter what they decided, he and his family would serve the Lord, period. No ifs, ands or buts but a simple clear declaration of his intent to serve and for God with these words; "But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” The first thing is declaring that no matter what you will serve the LORD, as Joshua did.
Next, begin to spend at least 15 minutes each day searching God's Word and let God speak to you through His Holy Spirit as He will guide you into His will for your life. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you." John 16:13-14
The key to hapiness in life is finding God's will for your life. The key to finding God's will for your life is spending time in His global positioning system or GPS, the Bible. As King David taught us; "How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 Through Your precepts I get understanding;Therefore I hate every false way. 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." Psalm 119:103-105
As we meditate on God's Word, God speaks! That is God's promise to those who seek Him and desire to find His will for your life !
