Judges 7:12-14 "Now the Midianites and Amalekites, all the people of the East, were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the seashore in multitude. 13 And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, “I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.” 14 Then his companion answered and said, “This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.” .

Something to Think About: Move forward in life, without fear, when God has called you. There are things God will never let us see that He is doing on our behalf behind the scenes to ensure that we will succeed, when we move in the direction that God has called us into. When Elisha was surrounded by the enemy army, his servant was afraid and went to him in fear and warned him of the danger. Here is what God revealed to the servant. "And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha" II Kings 6:15-17

 

Ezra, when he went back to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem in 458 B.C. God even moved the heart of the king to help him; "I issue a decree that all those of the people of Israel and the priests and Levites in my realm, who volunteer to go up to Jerusalem, may go with you.  ²¹ And I, even I, Artaxerxes the king, issue a decree to all the treasurers who are in the region beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, may require of you, let it be done diligently, ²² up to one hundred talents of silver, one hundred kors of wheat, one hundred baths of wine, one hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribed limit. ²³ Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it diligently be done for the house of the God of heaven. For why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?" Ezra 7:14,21-23

 

Dear Christian, move forward without fear as God has forces and resources beyond anything that we can simagine or see to help us in our time of need.  If God has called you to stay, stay and wait on the Lord. He will protect you.  If God has called you to go, then go and rest in the provision of His promises to never leave us or forsake us; "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
